Jeannie Burgess
Owner/CEO
Occupational Therapy
Jeannie graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has over 19 years of experience in the OT field, serving pediatrics and geriatrics. She has experience working with Sensory Processing Dysfunction, Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Developmental delay and anxiety disorders. She is a Certified Therapeutic Listening provider, certified in interactive metronome, and has extensive training in Sensory Integration. Jeannie also conducts Home Safety evaluations for Aging in Place, including fall risk assessments and home safety modifications. She is an adjunct instructor for the OTA program with Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She received the Award of Outstanding Practice within Clinical Education Fieldwork from the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association in 2019 and for Outstanding Practice: Community Service in 2023. Jeannie sits on the Advisory Committee board for RCCC OTA program.
Josh Burgess
Co-Owner/Administrator
Josh Burgess is co-owner and Administrator here at Restored Hope Therapy Services. Josh holds a business administration degree and has years of experience managing and supervising others. Josh and Jeannie have been married for over 19 years, locals to Cabarrus County and have 2 beautiful children. Josh is an avid runner, plays guitar, enjoys the outdoors, and serves in his local church.
Rachel Walker
Assistant Administrator
Occupational Therapy
Rachel graduated from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2018 and received her occupational therapy assistant license the same year. She is in her 4th year of practice treating in the traditional pediatric settings and has past experience in a specialty setting, providing OT utilizing hippotherapy. She is experienced in treating patients with an array of diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Muscular Dystrophy, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, feeding/eating disorders, oculomotor deficits and more. To better serve her patient population, Rachel is certified in infant massage, received her CTRI through PATH Intl. and has completed training in the SOS Approach to Feeding, AHA level I and II, sensory integration and oculomotor dysfunction. Rachel is passionate about the occupational therapy field and decided to further her education with Cabarrus College to transition from a COTA to an OT. She graduated the summer of 2023 with her masters degree in occupational therapy. Rachel has a passion and heart for the pediatric field and is very proud to be a part of the profession of OT. Rachel loves spending time with her husband, Clay, and her sweet golden doodle, River. Outside of work Rachel enjoys riding horses, kayaking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
Brianna Yetter
Occupational Therapy
Brianna Yetter attended University at Buffalo in New York, where she acquired her Bachelor of Science followed by an accelerated Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. From there she relocated to Charlotte, NC to pursue her career in occupational therapy working with children. Since beginning her career, Brianna has focused her practice to include the treatment of babies, children experiencing difficulties with feeding, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, trauma, neuro and genetic disorders. She has extensive training which includes the SOS Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, Trauma Treatment for Children and Adolescents, Sensory Processing Disorders, Executive Dysfunction, NDT, and therapeutic auditory programs. Brianna is also a Certified Autism Specialist. Brianna gravitates towards children in a way unlike many others. Her love for children can be felt from the moment families meet her. She enjoys working with children and families because it’s very rewarding to see the growth and changes the children make and see how it impacts not only them but the entire family. Brianna prioritizes the family’s goals to ensure they are benefiting from each session. She spends a lot of time planning and making sure the therapeutic interactions are fun, motivating and a positive experience for everyone. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her dog, family and friends, but mostly she loves to be on the lake with her husband.
Rebekah McGiveron
Occupational Therapy
Rebekah graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA in 2016 where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science with a concentration in Health Studies and a Minor in Family Studies. She continued her education at South University in Richmond, VA and graduated in 2018 with an Associate’s degree of Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Rebekah is licensed through the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapy. She has been working in the pediatric OT field for over 5 years and has experience working with children of all ages with diagnoses that include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Kabuki Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delay, visual deficits, depression, Sensory Processing Dysfunction, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Rebekah is an SOS Trained Feeding Therapist and loves working with caregivers to expand kiddos’ food repertoire. Rebekah and her new husband, Kevin, recently moved to her hometown of Mooresville, NC. She enjoys going to the gym, exploring downtown Mooresville, and spending time with her family!
Heather Walker
Occupational Therapy
Heather is a graduate of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an associate in Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. Heather is also a Registered Behavioral Technician with extensive experience with the Autism Population. She is a CarFit Technician for the adult population and has experience presenting at the NCOTA. Heather has had the opportunity to work with school-aged children with learning disabilities and understands the importance of incorporating coping strategies and physical activities for engagement to improve mental health. She participated in CIMT camp for children with post-strokes and co- conditions. She brings a unique skill set to Restored Hope as she has experience and passion, utilizing OT alongside equine therapy. She loves working with people in their daily occupations to inspire them to become the best versions of themselves. "Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoor, riding horses, and fitness/healthy lifestyle. I also love Mexican food and have the biggest sweet tooth! Being in this career is a true blessing and I look forward to working with each and every one of you given the opportunity."
Allison Taylor
Occupational Therapy
Allison is a graduate of Cabarrus College of Health Sciences with over 4 years’ experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist. She is currently back in school to obtain her master’s degree in occupational therapy. Allison has experience with pediatrics and adults in various settings including clinic and hospital. She has experience working with a variety of diagnoses such as autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, ADHD and a variety of genetic disorders. Allison enjoys spending time with her family, husband and their 2 dogs. She also enjoys gardening, running, working out and spending time outside.
Megan Whilhelm
Occupational Therapy
Megan graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2018. She is experienced in treating patients with an array of diagnoses including Developmental Delay, Sensory processing Disorder, Autism, ADHD and is passionate about addressing oculomotor deficits, feeding and eating disorders, and integration of primitive reflexes. In conjunction to her Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure, she holds certification in SOS Approach to Feeding and Infant Massage. Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors, testing new food recipes and taking time to enjoy the “small things” in life.
Quinten Beaver
Occupational Therapy
Quinten is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) with six years of experience. Throughout his career, he has adeptly worked with a wide range of diagnoses, utilizing his expertise to support clients on their journey to rehabilitation and improved quality of life. Outside of work, Quinten finds joy in his role as a husband and father. He is actively involved in his community, volunteering his time to serve at his church and cherishing moments spent with his family and friends.
Jessica Combs
Occupational Therapy
Jessica is a graduate of Cabarrus College of Health Sciences with an associate in Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. She has expanded her education with additional education in DIRFloortime, feeding, and sensory processing. Her journey into occupational therapy was inspired by witnessing the impact it had on her own family members. Jessica has always had a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Through volunteer work with Wings of Eagles and Hinds Feet Farm, as well as level II fieldwork experience in a school setting, Jessica honed her skills and deepened her commitment to serving others. Driven by her unwavering love for children and her innate desire to uplift those in need, Jessica’s path to becoming an OTA was not just a career choice but a calling. In her free time, Jessica finds joy in cherished moments with her husband Jeff and teenage sons, Brayden and Logan. Together, they actively engage in ministry at their local church, embodying their shared values of compassion and community service
